Hello! My name is Nicole, and I'm a native Torontonian. I always had a passion for photography since I was 13 when I entered a school photo contest and came home with a first prize ribbon. My passion for pet photography began when I worked at a horse farm in Markham and kept going. I was also a volunteer dog walker at Toronto Animal Services between 2007 to 2016. I was fascinated by the dog photos that were taken by one of my fellow volunteers there and wanted to learn about taking dog portraits like he did. In 2015, I acquired my first DSLR, a Nikon D60 and ventured into pet portraiture by attending various dog events to hone my photography skills. I took a course at Hart House in Toronto in 2015 and attended the Photography 1 course at George Brown College in 2021. Even though I currently own no pets, I still love capturing photos of other people's companions.
